Come join us for a weekend of yoga, fitness, mindfulness and holistic therapies in the beautiful surrounds of the Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Cornwall.
Our retreat has been designed to give you that much deserved time and space to reclaim your lust for life! Taking time for YOU to relax, reset, and revitalise.
Sitting on the Atlantic coast with views across the dunes to the sunset you will leave with a feeling of total wellbeing, thoroughly nourished and revived and ready to face the rest of your life!
Claire has years of experience teaching Yoga and Dance, and has worked on many retreats around the world.
Claire sees each class as a personal journey for the learner. A voyage of self-discovery. She believes that yoga is the vehicle for the journey of the body and mind. She wants each student in her class to come out feeling good about themselves, with an overall feeling of positivity.
She is experienced at working in a group of mixed level students giving variations on postures to challenge experienced yogis and help the beginner get more out of the class.
The classes will contain a mixture of asana, pranayama and meditation. The morning sessions will be dynamic vinyasa flows to wake up the body and mind. The evening sessions will be restorative and restful to revive your soul and aid you in a good night’s sleep.
For some meditation seems scary and difficult. We will lead you in a mindfulness meditation workshop and guide you through some meditation techniques to start you on your meditation journey, or answer any questions you may have with your existing practice.
Meditation has many benefits, it has been proven to reduce stress, increase your sense of well being, improve focus and memory and give you a sense of calm and peace in your busy lives.
The retreat includes a 30 minute holistic therapy session with Jacqui. With a career spanning 25 years she has taken a global journey through the spa, wellness and holistic therapy world.
Beginning as a therapist, progressing her way into lecturing, training management, spa management through to consultancy. She project managed many spa pre-openings from plan to launch for 5 star brands such as ESPA, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Gleneagles and the Liebherr Group. She currently sits at the centre of the Spa and Wellness industry organising global and UK conferences for leading spa brand groups.
Along the way she continued to use and develop her skills by undertaking indigenous techniques such as Thai, Hawaiian, Balinese and Ayurvedic massage, all of which contribute to developing and delivering the treatment best suited to you.
Her therapies range from Sports and Deep Tissue massage to assist injury repair and alleviate aches, pains or muscle tension, through to Hot Stone and Holistic massage to balance your mind and body. More information on Jacqui can be found on her website:
Beach Fitness Workout
A re-energising workout on the beach! We have the wonderful Nathalie of Follow Me Fitness coming to treat you to an energising workout. Each workout is different and uses body weight, the natural features of the beach and ‘Sandpacs’ designed by Follow Me Fitness to improve your fitness, but above all, make you feel great.
Our Venue – Mount Pleasant Eco Park
Set within 42 acres of organic farmland, in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the north Cornish coast. The land here is protected and adorned with expertly constructed eco buildings. There are compost toilets, solar showers, an outdoor fire pit and plenty of outdoor space to roam and chill out in the sun.
We will be using the Geodome and outdoor Amphi Theatre for our classes and workshops and the treatment room will be based in the main centre, a tropical rainforest indulgence space.
The Eco Park specialises in making and serving delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented Vegetarian & Vegan food.
They grow all their own produce in their allotments on the organic farmland, and use as many locally grown and organic salads, vegetables and herbs. All other ingredients are sourced from local and ethical suppliers.
You will have a buffet breakfast and lunch on both days, on the Saturday evening we will go to an outside venue to enjoy a sit down meal together on the beach!
Getting right back to nature and embracing the area of outstanding beauty, the park has 4 large bell tents to provide a unique glamping experience under the stars.
Each tent hosts 3/4 guests in single beds, bedding and towels are provided. The campsite has solar showers and rainwater fed toilets, giving you that true wild camping experience.
(*If camping really isn’t your thing, you are missing a treat, however do get in touch and we can recommend some self catering lodges and B&B’s in the area)
